God has given men the ability to create nations, but He allows women to birth the nations. To be given the responsibility to birth a nation isn’t an easy task. Look at the difficult process it has taken for certain nations to be birthed.
From the moment of conception, the woman becomes a risk to herself and her unborn child. She has the responsibility of nurturing and growing a being that is developing right inside her. The spiritual aspect of this is the enemy doesn’t want the baby to make it out of the womb. The unborn child is a threat to the kingdom of darkness.
It’s a deposited seed of purpose ready to enter the world. When this seed grows to its full potential, it becomes useful to God and others, and ultimately serves it purpose. That’s why a mother must nurture her child by providing care, support, love, compassion, empathy, knowledge, protection, and so much more.
Having the title of being a mother is significant, and being a mother is an important role. A mother is an individual who has been given children as a gift from God. For some women mothering is natural and they possess the innate abilities needed, but some mothers must learn. Whatever the case, be the best at meeting your children’s needs.
Be available, involved, teach them, train them, discipline them, nurture them, and model appropriate behaviors such as integrity. Take advantage of being a responsible steward to the children God has given you. This weekend women all over the world get to celebrate being mothers. This is probably one day out of the year that we will get to take a break. So, take your break Queen, you need it!
Mothers have a unique and critical role in the lives of their children. Mothers bear the child during pregnancy, nurture and provide during infancy, and must continue to make an impact into their child’s life until death. Motherhood will challenge us, change us, develop us, but most importantly, it will grow us. Are you up for it?
Don’t look at motherhood as a curse or a chore. God has entrusted you to be a mother. He desires you to train up your children in the right way they should go (Proverbs 22:6). Teach them how to be faithful servants for the Lord. Do you understand the significance now? God has given us this title as a mother, embrace it! Happy Mother’s Day!
